Apartment at St Martin Canals
The little (and I do mean little) apartment that we rented sits right on the front of the St Martin Canals, just north of Notre Dame. It is a nice neighborhood, though it appears some work projects are ongoing during the day, which didn't help the first day as we were sleeping through our Jet Lag. But overall, it is a congenial area with easy access to our Tour Bus (which we are doing tomorrow) and the metro (which we'll use on the weekend).
One of the more interesting aspects of the area is a nearby city park, where lots of people come to just sit in the shade and enjoy the evening air and environment, though it was surprising to see how many people were there with a nice bottle of wine and a bag of potato chips to share with a loved one.
